4 Stars Rating

Sierra’s crush on Hayden hasn’t gone away but she knows she’s just a friend to him. After all, she’s never been the type of woman that a guy goes crazy over. Hayden was unbearable to be around when he retired from the military but he couldn’t push Sierra away; she stuck by him no matter what. Now he has to get over himself and find a way to ask Sierra out.

Katie Reus really knows how to pack a lot of story in a short amount of space. With only 70 pages, I never felt like things were missing or left out. Sierra is an incredibly sweet character. You know she’s the type of person that everyone likes because she’s just so genuine. I loved Sierra but she was a classic Mary Sue character who’s just perfect and everyone looks out for her or wants her. Just a small thing, but some flaw would have rounded out her character. Hayden was pretty possessive but also so careful when it came to taking care of Sierra. He was a perfect blend of rough and tumble mixed with kindhearted.

And she’d die of embarrassment if he found out she was still a virgin.

But when an attacker targets Sierra, Hayden’s protective instincts go into overdrive.
